Who applies from Delhi

Delhi has the broadest applicant profile in India: Express Entry PR from FAANG-equivalent professionals, study permits from DU and Delhi-NCR colleges, work permits via LMIA and Intra-Company Transfers, visitor visas for family in Canada, and Hindu / Sikh / Christian family-class sponsorship in roughly equal share.

The New Delhi VFS Canada centre — what it is, and what it is not

Applicants from Delhi use the Visa Application Centre (VAC) in New Delhi, about In-city away, at VFS Global Canada Visa Application Centre, Shivaji Stadium. It is worth being clear about what happens there, because a lot of people expect more from it than it can give.

A VFS centre is not the Canadian High Commission and its staff are not visa officers. Nobody at the VAC decides your application, and nobody there can tell you why you were refused. VFS is a private contractor that handles logistics — collecting your passport, taking your biometrics (fingerprints and photo), and couriering documents to and from IRCC.

That distinction matters after a refusal. People go back to the VAC in New Delhi asking for reasons and are turned away, because the reasons are not held there. They are held by IRCC in your GCMS file — and the only way to read that file is to request it yourself, free, or have us do it for you.

• Biometrics are usually valid for 10 years. If you gave them for a previous Canadian application, you may not need to travel to New Delhi again.
• VFS cannot expedite a decision. No paid service at the centre changes IRCC processing times.
• Your passport returning does not mean refusal. Check the decision letter and your IRCC account, not the courier status.
• Nobody at the VAC can read your GCMS notes. Those come only through an ATIP request.

The refusal pattern we see most often

Delhi's diversity means refusal patterns vary widely. The most-flagged refusals we see: A40 misrepresentation findings (sometimes from undeclared old US visa refusals), 'insufficient ties to home country' on visitor visas for young single applicants, and PR refusals on language-test re-validations.

Local context

Delhi applicants benefit from being a short metro ride from the central VFS centre, but the CAIPS notes from IRCC's GCMS system are never available at the VFS centre — only via ATIP request. We file the request from our office on your behalf; you don't visit anyone.

4. Sign the consent form online. We pre-fill IRCC's IMM 5744 E with your details, send it to you via WhatsApp or email, you print/sign in blue ink, and email or WhatsApp the signed scan back. No need to come to our Patiala office unless you prefer to.
5. Track on your dashboard. IRCC's statutory turnaround is 30 days; real-world is usually 25–30. We follow up on your behalf if it stalls.
6. Download the PDFs when IRCC delivers them, from caipsnotesapply.com/dashboard. Tier 2 also includes your full application file; Tier 3 includes a 3–4 page plain-English interpretation written by our team using AI assistance.

Ltd., a consultancy licensed by the Government of Punjab under Licence No. 849/DC/PTA/PLA/LC-3/2024 (issued by the District Magistrate, Patiala; valid until 22 July 2029). The license covers operations across India — applicants from Delhi are served under exactly the same authority and refund policy.
